El Salvador Repsonds to Sheen Slight

Walter Duran, the Salvadoran consul general in LA, is not taking Charlie Sheen's comments lightly (actually, he also said that it's not a big scandal but that takes the fun out of it).

Earlier in the week Sheen said that he would rather move to El Salvador and sell shoes rather than confront his estranged wife in court in a custody battle over their twin sons.

In addition to asking for Sheen to apologize for his disrespectful comments, Duran asked him to consider opening a shoe factory there as well.
"Maybe Charlie Sheen wants to do business in El Salvador. We invite you to open a shoe factory ", noted the head of the consular section in Los Angeles Walter DurĂ¡n.
"Suddenly he knows that there are people who need shoes." He could invest in one factory now that the Government is giving shoes to all students (needy) and shoes are required. It is an opportune moment to sell shoes."
If the Salvadoran press is anything like the US press, President Obama needs to prepare some answers to the eventual Charlie Sheen questions that he is likely to get on his visit.
